where are they now ??

Well I thought I'd give it a mention seeing as some of you have been checking out this site since finding me on the Friends Reunited Website. But if you have arrived here by accident by all means have a browse and if you want to check out the FRUTD site just click here

What a great site it is , I have even tracked down a couple of friends from my apprenticeship at Fords using their name search instead of the school search. And I have to say it is quite a  shock to see so many familiar sounding names from the past, nearly 25 years now; and am I the only one struggling to put a face to the name?? come on own up.

Anyhow, I have been in contact with a few of you old school chums and have even met up with Steve Wallbanks recently and the old Town doesn't seemed to have changed much.

Now if there are anymore of you out there in the woodwork, I am going to try and make this my Melton Town Notice Board. If you have any old memories, stories, photos or just want to say hi to anyone just fill in the comments box below and I'll add it the board. I will be vetting the comments so don't be too harsh.

Well it looked pretty dull around town recently, but I know it wasn't 25 years back. The old Corn Exchange discos; falling down the steps after drinking competitions and then beans and chips on the way home. (and we were only 15!!!)

Congrats you're the 1st

'Out of all the girl names I can remember Jackie wasn't one of them......I think?

 :-) RK

Yes we did go down the Corn Exchange at the grand age of 15, as well as disco‘s at Gloucester House, which has also been pulled down. Most of the time we were the only customers in the Leisure Centre, but the prices as I remember suited us. Steve Wallbanks was around at the time, but I used to hang around with Jeff Challis and Tim Stimpson. I used to have a Suzuki AP50 moped at 16 and we used to hang around the back of the Leisure Centre outside the Venture House Youth Club, trying to impress the girls. I haven‘t got any photos of those days, but even my wife Jackie Simpson remembers you. But you‘re right the memory does let you down at our age.

Cheers.

I am pretty sure I don't know you but thanks for your comments anyhow.....  and you have 3 correct, but do you know where they  are know?

I recognize Phil Hall (green jersey), with Howard Eggleston and Agastino Dijoia to right of centre, (back row, in white jerseys).

I only looked at your FRUTD page cos of the photo.
